What's my name?

You may be curious as to how exactly I came across the name "The Nerdy Thug."

Well if you aren't, I'm gonna tell you anyway.

It comes from a description of me that someone gave not too long ago. We were talking about me finally graduating from dental school. . .

Convo:

Me: *sigh* I can't wait to get out of dental school. I feel like I can never do anything.

Him: it's coming, just wait on it

Me: I know, I know... *sigh*

Him: ...and when you do, make sure I am invited to the graduation party.

Me: graduation party?

Him: yeah, I know a nerdy thug like you is going to have one hell of a party, and I'm just trying to get an invite

As one might imagine, we both died laughing at this seemingly oxymoronic statement. But as one of my favorite comedians has said:

"We laugh because it's funny and we laugh because it's true."

One might wonder how one becomes a nerdy thug. But I cannot answer that for you, one just simply is.

The idea of starting a blog came to me as I stumbled across an old blog i used to write about my experience in Australia. And I thought to myself.... Why didn't I do this throughout dental school? Better start now.. You know, better late than never and what not.

Some stories will be funny, some sad, some boring and some rants... But ultimately ME. Why not share the walking contradiction that's is a nerdy thug with the rest of the world?
